The macbook air is being improved in areas such as performance, memory, and battery life in newer models. 2009: Microsoft releases windows 7, which has the ability to pin applications to the taskbar, advances in touch and handwriting recognition, and other features.
2012: Microsoft Releases windows 8, which has a new task manager and streamlined file management. This new version is also more compatible with the microsoft tablets.
